Grillz

A Grill is a semi-permanent jewellery piece worn over your teeth.

They are designed using dental impressions so that they fit securely without adhesives. They are removable and designed in a way that you can put them on or take them off anywhere.

The grillz at Dazzle Teeth are handcrafted by Jen and made from Sterling Silver with the added option of getting them gold-plated. If you wear gold jewellery, gold plating is for you.

Grillz are not a dental solution. However, with many designs and bespoke details available, they can be customised to add shape, cover and distract from insecurities.

The process of having a grill made includes a period of three to five weeks with two in-person appointments at my Christchurch studio. The first appointment is where we discuss your vision and take dental impressions of your teeth to start the process. Once your grill is completed, you come back to the studio for a fitting appointment to ensure the fit is just right.

For best results, grillz should be made when your teeth and gums are healthy and stable.

Avoid timing around any dental treatments that involve tooth movements like braces, invisalign, or restorative work. Grillz are made to fit your teeth at the time of impression.

If you have tooth gems, we can make grillz for other teeth and in some designs around tooth gems.

If you would like a grill on a tooth that has remaining dental composite, it is best to have this scaled and polished off before impressions are taken. Otherwise, this can affect the fit of your grill.
